    Our client, a US Federal Government Agency, has an immediate opening for an Electronic Data Discovery Specialist (EDD Specialist) in their Washington, DC office. The candidate will be responsible for processing data received in electronic formats, primarily (but not exclusively) using LexisNexis LAW PreDiscovery software to generate Concordance load-ready files.  Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Preparing and formatting data load files, including programmatic reformatting of data as needed to satisfy input requirements.
    • Performing quality review and validating converted data in preparation for database creation.
    • Creating and testing Concordance databases used to manage evidentiary documents and produced files.
    • Logging and tracking matter materials and databases.
    • Performing database indexing and re-indexing activities.
    • Assisting in the evaluation of production data received to determine the type of data (i.e., dat, pst, wav, edoc, or other data formats) and volume of data received.
    • Creating production jobs for document sets that are being sent off-site.
    • Assisting with overseeing storage space on servers to ensure production data can be processed without issues.

    Required Skills: 

    • Experience with processing data using LAW PreDiscovery.
    • Experience with Concordance.
    • Experience with creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting databases (i.e., performing data normalization, global edits, removing duplicates, overlaying or margining data into existing records, indexing, and maintaining databases).

    Desired Skills

    • Experience with Relativity and CaseMap.
    • Prior experience creating and testing Concordance databases.
