Our client, a Fortune 500 Corporation, is seeking an E-Discovery Collection Specialist to provide support to the Legal Case Teams.
This position would support attorneys and project managers/paralegals working on both upstream and downstream litigation arising. This individual would be responsible for the following regarding Data Collection:
- Collect electronically stored information from identified targets
- Understand implications of international collection and address international data issues with appropriate parties
- Work with appropriate parties to obtain approval to access and collect server data
- Work with vendors to obtain server collection cost estimates, address technical issues, and manage timelines for execution
- Coordinate and track all electronic collection activities and maintain chain of custody documentation
- Execute and support custodian collections using various corporate collection tools
- Create data manifest, update collection tracking log, and ensure successful transfer of data for each shipment of collected data to processing vendors
- Work with E-Discovery Project Managers, Paralegals and Attorneys throughout collection efforts to monitor timelines and budgets.
The individual would also be responsible to prepare electronic data processing instructions in consultation with case managers and submit to discovery services vendors and also QC processed data to ensure all data was transferred to vendor accurately and in accordance with specifications
Essential Education:
Bachelor Degree is required
Essential experience and job requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working in the electronic discovery field, preferably with energy company litigation experience.
- He/she should have strong business acumen, a proven track record as a team player that brings to the position exceptional organizational skills, excellent communication skills (both oral and written), and sound judgment.
- He/she must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Also required is the ability to work in an often stressful environment while maintaining good interpersonal skills.
- Additionally, the successful candidate must think quickly and analytically and have the ability to manage multiple priorities under short deadlines.
- Prior project management experience in large, complex electronic discovery projects is preferred.
Other essential skills and knowledge:
Experience with FTK Access Data and other eDiscovery tools.
IBM/PSS Atlas System.
Up to 25% travel may be required.
